I worked for the BBC for 21 years before leaving in 1991 as a Senior Cameraman to start a new and exciting life as a Freelance Lighting Cameraman.

I've also worked as a Producer, Director and Vision Mixer.

I've worked on every type of TV programme in studios and on location.  I've gained invaluable experience by working with many great Artists and Directors. 

I have used a very wide range of equipment from Link 125 to BVW400 to Thomson 16:9 Sportscams.  I've used peds to pythons, techno to tracking dollies.

I could go on but my hope is this has given you some idea of my experience!

As a Camera Supervisor I've...had responsibility for the crew, booking other cameramen, crewing up and liasing between the crew and other production personnel.

As a Lighting Director I've lit...  studios and locations, some occasions using only a small lighting kit but on other occasions with a sparks crew, generator, 12k's, etc.

As a Vision Mixer I have mixed:  Newsnight, Playschool and the ITV Weather Forecast!

I'm often asked by the Director to help in the planning of the production, and if necessary I book equipment and other production personnel.
